When I heard that Youme Café, an anime themed café, in Hong Kong was launching their new theme of Cardcaptors, I was intrigued. I liked Cardcaptors well enough, in that I recall watching the dubbed version of the show in Canada as part of my cartoons routine when I was young.
After watching Jiro Dreams of Sushi about a year ago, I’ve had a curiosity towards Michelin stars. Of course, being usually broke, I never really bothered to think about dining at a Michelin starred restaurant, but then this summer I came back to Hong Kong.
Hong Kong happens to have 70+ restaurants that made it into the Michelin Guide for 2016. One of these has been in the guide since 2010, and when it first made the guide, it was known as being the most affordable restaurant with a Michelin star. The restaurant is Tim Ho Wan, and they serve dimsum.
In our quest to try as many different kinds of foods I’ve missed out on during the last few years I was away from Hong Kong, we decided to go to Jordan to give Hello Kitty Chinese Cuisine a visit!
I’m not a huge Hello Kitty fan— I guess my relationship with her can best be described as tolerable. But I can’t deny that she’s kinda cute. And I now know she can look even cuter as dim sum!
The outside of the restaurant looked like a classy Chinese restaurant with a splash of Hello Kitty.
