A few weeks ago, my friend told me about a Dining in the Dark experience at Fable Diner + Bar. I’ve always been intrigued by these and I remembered when one Valentine’s Day, the (then) boyfriend and I tried making a reservation at Dark Table two weeks in advanced. I think they laughed at us — and rightfully so. We were cutting it pretty close for one of the most popular day of the year for dinner reservations.

Cabane à Sucre during Covid
One thing that I love about Quebec is the maple season. It’s around March when temperatures start to become positive and the sap starts to flow! There’s a huge harvesting of maple syrup during that time and along with that comes the opening of sugar shacks!

Finally went to Haidilao after only ever having bought their hot pot soup bases to have at home. We were a little hesitant as it’s Covid times, but reading the reviews, a lot of people spoke favourably of the protocols there.
